From London to Beijing

Amaurea’s Next Chapter in Global Storytelling

We are proud to share that Amaurea is now establishing a base in Beijing, China, deepening our commitment to multilingual, cross-cultural storytelling from two dynamic global cities: Beijing and London.

This move is not simply about geography. It marks an evolution in our mission—a step toward a more fully transnational creative practice. Since Amaurea’s inception, we have worked to bridge the distance between languages, disciplines and cultural worlds. We believe that stories—whether told through text, image, sound or movement—have the power to connect people across borders and generations. By expanding our presence into East Asia, we are creating new opportunities to work with artists, writers and institutions whose work emerges from, or engages deeply with, the Chinese-speaking world and beyond.

Amaurea is not a traditional publisher, nor a typical creative agency. We are a home for stories that require care, collaboration, and a global sensibility. From its inception, Amaurea has been working not just in print, but also in film, graphic design and hybrid artistic forms. Whether it’s a documentary film with international resonance, a translingual design project rooted in cultural heritage, or a novel that challenges linguistic boundaries, we are drawn to work that is bold in vision and rich in cross-cultural meaning.

Operating from both Beijing and London will further our aim of building cultural bridges. These cities represent two different but deeply interconnected creative ecosystems, and both offer a global outlook, attracting creators from around the world. London offers proximity to European and Latin American creative networks, while Beijing brings us closer to the rich artistic traditions and contemporary innovation of East and Southeast Asia. From these two vantage points, we can engage more deeply with the multilingual worlds we already work in—Chinese, English and Spanish—and more easily support creators who move between them.

What makes Amaurea distinct is not just the kind of work we produce, but how we work. Every project begins with dialogue, every collaboration a creative relationship. Whether working on a profit-share basis or through paid commissions, we invest ourselves artistically in each process. Some projects require long-term co-creation, with shared vision and shared ownership. Others call for a clear, focused creative service—editing, translation, design or development—delivered with depth and attention. Regardless of the form, we value people over process, and we bring the same commitment and care to every project we undertake. Our values—artistic integrity, mutual respect and cultural openness—are more than ideals; they shape the way we choose projects, form teams and navigate the inevitable complexities of cross-border creative production.

Establishing a base in Beijing reflects our belief that the future of storytelling is polycentric. There is no single creative capital. Stories are emerging everywhere; what they need is infrastructure, support and thoughtful translation, in every sense of the word. That’s what we aim to provide.

Our growth is guided not by scale but by alignment. We do not expand for its own sake. Instead, we grow by welcoming people into our circle—those who share our belief in the power of thoughtful, border-crossing art. If you are a writer, a filmmaker, a translator, a visual artist or an institution with a creative idea that demands time, care and imagination, we invite you to get in touch.

From London and Beijing, we look forward to building new stories, new partnerships, and new possibilities—for creators and communities around the world.
